A quintessentially British company in Fulham is looking for an ambitious HR assistant to join their charming offices near the Thames. You will be joining a company which is nationally renowned, values its employees and operates all over the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to break into HR within a very well established company. The role is a great way to gain HR experience and to grow both personally and professionally within this field.

About the Role:

  • To be first contact for the department and provide general administrative support
  • To provide staff with basic employment advice (in line with HR policies and procedures and current employment law legislation)
  • To administer the recruitment process
  • To draft contracts of employment
  • To produce payroll instructions for the Finance department
  • To coordinate staff probation and annual appraisal reviews
  • To source and organise external training
  • To prepare leaver information
  • To maintain staff records on the HR database and produce management reports
  • To undertake Health and Safety workstation assessments for Head Office and guide managers on maternity risk assessments

The successful HR Assistant will be/have:

  • At least a years’ experience in either HR or office administration
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Professional appearance and reliability
  • Ability to take initiative and multitask without constant supervision
  • Experience in a similar administrative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Able to demonstrate discretion when dealing with matters of a confidential
  • Great attention to detail

Pay, Hours and Benefits:

  • You will be paid between £22 and £25,000
  • Working hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00
  • Excellent pension scheme
